Problem Note 65977: The Servers pane and the Process Flow in SAS® Enterprise Guide® 8.2 might not display the correct icon for SAS® data views
The Servers pane and the process flow in SAS Enterprise Guide 8.2 might not display the correct icon for SAS data views. For example, you might encounter this problem if you perform steps similar to the following:
- Create two tables in SAS Enterprise Guide 8.2. The first table is a SAS data set (.sas7bdat).
data test.AMERICAN_CARS;
set SASHELP.CARS(where=(Origin = "USA"));
run;
The second table is a SAS data view (.sas7bvew):
data test.ASIAN_CARS / view= test.ASIAN_CARS;
set SASHELP.CARS(where=(Origin = "Asia"));
run;
- You display the tables in the Servers pane and in the process flow. The tables might incorrectly have the same icon. In the details, the SAS data views might not display the correct icon, but instead display the icon related to the SAS data sets.
The following image illustrates the issue:
As a workaround, remove the SAS data view from the process flow and drag and drop it in once more. Then, the icon for the SAS data view should be correctly displayed in the process flow. Currently, there is no workaround to display the correct icon in the Servers pane.
